Ben Firkus began his Drum Corps career in 2001 as a soprano player with the Madison Scouts. He marched soprano bugle for 3 years and was the Drum Major his final year.

In 2005 he was a visual staff member with the Carolina Crown and then with the Phantom Regiment from 2006-2009. For 2010 and 2011 he was back at the Carolina Crown.

During the fall and winter, Ben is a judge in the upper midwest with the Tri-State Judges Association and the Minnesota Percussion Association.

When not doing drum corps, Ben is a high school band director at North Branch Area High School in North Branch, MN.  Outside of music Ben enjoys kayaking and and running Ragnar Relays.
