Nick Usadel began his percussion education as a student at Jenison High School. Upon graduating from Jenison, Nick continued his percussion education at Grand Valley State University, graduating in the Spring of 2010 with a Bachelor of the Arts in Music.

Nick’s marching experience also includes being a member of the Bluecoats front ensemble for the 2007 and 2008 seasons, as well as the NorthCoast Academy front ensemble for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

As an educator, Nick has worked with many schools around Michigan and Texas including Jenison High School, Reeths Puffer High School, Kenowa Hills High School, Lehman High School and James Bowie High School. Nick has also served as a front ensemble tech for Capital Regiment for the 2009 season, NorthCoast Academy for the 2010 season, sound technician for Carolina Crown for the 2010 season, and front ensemble arranger for the Genesis Indoor Percussion Ensemble for the 2010 and 2011 seasons.
